Challenge
Aspirants from rural and economically disadvantaged backgrounds face a gauntlet of barriers: lack of proper guidance, expensive coaching centres, financial pressure, and the psychological weight of long preparation cycles with no guaranteed outcome. Many also struggle to balance studies with life responsibilities, navigate information overload, and build the physical endurance required for exams like PC and SI — all while lacking adequate nutrition and a clear career backup plan.
Our Effort
Vallamai's training programme removes every barrier it can. All coaching is free, with a focused priority on students from economically and socially marginalised communities. Support includes quality teaching by expert coaches, personalised mentorship, regular mock exams, and intensive physical endurance training. Students are housed in comfortable boarding and lodging facilities and fed fresh, locally sourced, nutritious meals. A community and peer learning environment ensures no one prepares alone.
Impact
The results speak clearly: 200 students have cleared the first round of the PC exam, with an overall pass percentage exceeding 80% — achieved through sustained, professional mentorship and a programme built to go the distance with every aspirant.
